Hello there!

I'm a writer, illustrator, and organizer based out of Savannah, GA who makes things about mental health, queer history, and the Asian-American diaspora in the Deep South. I have been previously published with Polychrome Ink, Meerkat Press, The Port City Review, Vox Poetica, Wussy Magazine, Dystopian Future, and The Harvard University Press, and have had the pleasure to work with Big Lucks Press, Winter Tangerine, and Madhouse Press.

Currently, I write strange fables about petty gods for The Nobility, a

bi-monthly illustration series of dark original fairy tales concepted by

Brian Woodward, and provide the illustrations for The Likewise Fiction Podcast, a 12-episode season of outstanding short fiction written by women & nonbinary authors, authors of color, and LGBTQ+ authors created and hosted by Mike Sakasegawa of Keep the Channel Open.

This website is currently under construction and will have live writing links, an updated shop, and additional information about The Nobility soon. In the meantime, my resume is available right here, and I can always be reached over at melpaisleyart@gmail.com, or via the contact form below.
